Cocktail Shrimp

  • 1 pound of medium-sized shrimp, shelled and deveined

  • 1/2 lemon

  • Salt, to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon of whole peppercorns

  • 1/2 cup of ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon of prepared horseradish

  • 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

  • Tabasco sauce, to taste

Instructions:
1. In a medium pot, add 3 cups of water, lemon, salt, and peppercorns.


2. Once the water boils, add the shrimp and cook until they become firm and turn bright pink, which should take around 3-4 minutes.


3. Remove the shrimp from the pot and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain the shrimp and arrange them on a plate. Serve with cocktail sauce.


4. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. Serve this sauce with the shrimp on a platter.
