Mac n' Cheese

Serves: 4-6

Cook Time: 50 min.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pk Macaroni Noodles

  • 1/4 cup Butter + 1 tbs

  • 1/4 cup Flour

  • Salt + Pepper

  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 2 Cups Milk

  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese + 1/2 cup to top

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400ºF. Prepare a 11x7 baking dish with 1 tbs of butter. Rub the butter all over the baking dish.

  2. Cook noodles according to the packaged instructions. 8-10 min in a pot of boiling salted water. Once the noodles are done drain them and set aside.

  3. In a medium sauce pan on medium high heat, melt the butter. Once the butter is melted, with a wooden spoon stir in the flour and cook until pale brown, about 4-5 min. Add in the milk and whisk until smooth and thick, about 3-5 min. Turn off the heat and add your seasonings and cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted.

  4. Add noodles to the cheese sauce and stir until incorporated. Pour the mac and cheese into the baking dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar. Bake for 30-45 min. until bubbly brown!
