Seared Tuna Poke Bowls

Ingredients

  • 2 6 oz Ahi Tuna Steaks

  • 1/4 cup White Sesame Seeds 1/4 cup Black Sesame Seeds Salt + Pepper

  • 2 tbs Cooking Oil

  • 4 Cooked Rice (Brown or Jasmine) or Quinoa

  • Optional Toppings Scallions, sliced Radishes, sliced Shredded Carrots Jalapeño, sliced Pickled Ginger Sriracha Mayo Ponzu Sauce

Directions

  1. On a plate mix White and black sesame seeds together. Season tuna with salt and pepper on both sides. Coat the tuna on all side by pressing the tuna onto the plate.

  2. Add oil to a non-stick skillet and set on the medium high heat. Sear tuna on both sides for 2 min. The center of the tuna should still be jeweled collated pink.

  3. Let rest on and then slice.

  4. In 4 separate bowls add 1 cup of rice. and build your poke bowl with your toppings of choice. Fan your sliced tuna on top of your poke bowl.
